IRC Kalaangana Award Ceremony

Yesterday our educator Harshita and our student Aditya were honored at the IRC Kalaangana award ceremony.

Harshita joined us as an intern in 2017 and currently works as a program associate at Ishanya. Her positive energy and willingness to learn have helped bring about great changes in the organization. She is very non-judgmental and brings in the best in each of her sessions. She is passionate about teaching life skills to young adults, students constantly wait for her creative craft and art sessions and her Zumba classes are the most sought-after session here at Ishanya!

Aditya is an independent young man who joined a batch of our 2-year skill development program
that focuses on enhancing cognitive skills, life skills, communication skills along with digital literacy skills & vocational training. He later got an opportunity through the Mission1000 initiative for an internship program at an MNC where he is able to advocate for himself, perform various professional tasks, interact with his co-workers and is happy with his contribution to the work and to his family. Recently Aditya’s internship was converted to full-time employment and he is absolutely loving his work and is looking forward to learning more every day!
